Over time, the skills and study habits a student has built through daily study will have weakened.  When students return to Kumon from an extended break, they will not restart at where they had left the curriculum.  The Instructor will determine their returning starting point of study.  This returning starting point can be as much as half a level lower than the pre-break study level.
